We would like to continue this work which brings greater autonomy to all concerned and is line with Department of Health plans to extend the uptake of assisted living to allow people to continue living independently in their own homes and communities.

Scholarship Description: There is no quota system of any kind. Every applicant competes with every other applicant on an equal basis. The Dixie Youth Baseball scholarship program is administered by an 11-member committee composed of national board members � one from each state � appointed by President P.L. Corley. Johnny Berthelot, National Board member . Each member of the Committee receives a copy of each application. Each committee member studies all applications and vote by ballot for their top choices. Normally, a run-off ballot will be necessary to complete the list of scholarship winners to be chosen in 2010. The process is completed by MAY 1, in time for the recipients to be notified and plans made for the recognition to take place at the recipients �High School Awards Day� ceremonies or during a Dixie Youth tournament.   2. It is intended that the AFQ PhD Scholarship will provide salary and incidental support for a postgraduate student who is undertaking full-time research for a PhD in an area of research relevant to ASTHMA and linked conditions.
  3. The awarded scholarship will be for one year in the first instance, but will be extended for a maximum of three years upon receipt of satisfactory half yearly progress reports.

Scholarship Description: The NUS PhD-MBA aims to attract and train talented students who have the potential to create and lead technology companies. It is jointly hosted by the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering and the NUS Business School. Students develop their research skills by doing a PhD in a scientific or engineering discipline. Concurrently they learn about business by working on an MBA. Internships provide practical experience.
NUS is a global University located in Singapore, in the heart of Asia. NUS was recently ranked 28th and the NUS MBA 23rd in the world. English-speaking Singapore has long been an excellent place in which to do business. In recent years Singapore has invested heavily in developing a world-class research infrastructure and training talent to not only do research but also commercialize it.
