At least one course in college level calculus which covers both differentiation and integration. A working knowledge of computers as evidenced by at least one course in that area (e.g. data processing, programming, information systems, etc.)
At least one-year of full-time work experience. This requirement may be waived for graduate assistants, research assistants, and applicants with exceptional academic records.

Eligibility:
  1. Applications must be relevant to the field of ASTHMA and linked conditions research.
  2. It is intended that the AFQ PhD Scholarship will provide salary and incidental support for a postgraduate student who is undertaking full-time research for a PhD in an area of research relevant to ASTHMA and linked conditions.
  3. The awarded scholarship will be for one year in the first instance, but will be extended for a maximum of three years upon receipt of satisfactory half yearly progress reports.
  4. To qualify, projects must be undertaken within Queensland at an institution approved by the Foundation eg a university, teaching hospital, research institute, etc.
  5. Only applicants about to commence a PhD are eligible to apply for the AFQ PhD Scholarship.
  6. There is no requirement on the scholars to perform work of any kind for the Asthma Foundation Queensland as a condition of the scholarship.

The longer courses cover fundamental areas of information sciences and technologies, while the short courses go into greater detail about specific topics, above all by presenting recent research projects and results and so providing stimuli for the postgraduate students� own research activities. Each postgraduate student is free to construct his/her own study plan, choosing several long courses and several short courses of interest to him/her. It is also possible to attend courses at other Italian and foreign universities, so as to expand the opportunities for training and encourage internationalisation.

Eligibility: -Applicants should have a First or Second Class UK Honours degree (or equivalent) or MSc in a relevant discipline such as mechanical engineering, manufacturing/industrial engineering, engineering design, product development, product engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, information technology/systems, digital technology or other relevant engineering disciplines.

By applying a new generation of connected, digital environments to product life cycle, this project adds value directly at all stages through direct user interaction with virtual information, content and services in digital �showrooms� and wider �virtual� environments. The successful applicant will join a new research team to carry out a detailed mapping exercise of an automotive supply chain. Working collaboratively with project partners the candidate will analyse the tools, processes and data used across the supply chain and also contribute to the design of an innovative demonstrator model in a laboratory environment to prove reduction in waste and improvement in performance of a currently inefficient tool or process. The projects research findings will feed into a larger collaborative research project in the field of manufacturing supply chains and product lifecycle management processes.
