  • Applicants must have a upper second class Honours degree from an AHRC approved HE institution. Applicants must also have or be working towards a Master�s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject Residency.

Scholarship Description: The College of Arts and Humanities invites applications for a fully-funded PhD Studentship in English Language and Literature. English at Swansea is characterised by both breadth and diversity, and the Department welcomes proposals for research projects that complement staff research interests. This is an AHRC Doctoral studentship, and will provide support for a minimum of one year and up to three years of full-time study, or between two and five years of part-time study, leading to a doctoral degree. A full award includes tuition fees (UK/EU level) and a maintenance grant. The maintenance grant will meet the National Minimum Doctoral Stipend level set by the UK Research Councils � for 2010/11, the full-time stipend level was �13,590 p.a. An AHRC Research Training Support Grant is also available.
