Eligibility:Employees of Active Members, in good standing, are eligible for a scholarship award.Applicants must display a strong academic record, leadership in both school and community activities or part-timework schedule and demonstrate financial need.
The scholarship committee will select winners based on the following approximate percentages: Need 45%; Academic Excellence 30%; Student Essay 25%. A letter of recommendation from your employer, who is an Active Member of NICRA in good standing, is also part of the selection criteria.

• High school seniors who have applied or have already been accepted at an accredited college or university, or current college freshmen, college sophomores or college juniors, may be nominated by their employers who are active members of NICRA.

Scholarship Open for International Students: No

Scholarship Description: Now is the time for you to nominate a deserving young person, who must also be one of your employees, for the 2011 Bryce Thomson Scholarship Award. The official application form for the Award is attached for your convenience and may be duplicated if you have more than one nominee. Or you can download the form from our Web Site at the NICRA headquarters office and request additional forms. This year ten scholarships will be awarded in the following amounts: One $3,500; Two $2,500; One $2,000; One $1,500; and Five $1,000, totaling $17,000. Funds must be used within one year of the award. The winners will be announced at the 2011 NICRA Annual Convention in Jacksonville, Florida. Students will also have a choice as to how the money is awarded, for tuition, books, lab feesor room and board.
